Mary Anne Wylie, Board Chair

Mary Anne Wylie has been involved with ASIA Families for the past 16 years and has been  a Board member since 2020.  She retired as a nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD after 47 years. She worked in Emergency Medicine and, for the last 35 years, was  an advanced practice nurse working with patients and their families in Geriatric and Neuropsychiatry.   In that clinical setting she cared for older people with mental illness and dementia and younger people with dementia.

“I volunteer for ASIA Families  through Board service for several reasons.  I am inspired by the leadership of Grace Song.  I am energized by the many hours of dedicated service from our volunteers.  I am grateful for the generosity of our donors. My two sons were adopted from Korea.  They and my husband and I have benefitted from the ASIA Families programs and  from the many families and adoptees whom we have met over the years.  I volunteer because I want any family and any adoptee who comes to ASIA Families to be able to have what we have had over these years.”
